Pet Friendly Malls in the Metro and Their Rules

Be it a dog or a cat, taking pets for a stroll is a great exercise for them. While not all establishments might let them in, there are pet-friendly malls where you and your furry friend can take a walk in. Here are some of them and the rules you should follow while visiting.

Pet-friendly mall no. 1: Robinsons Magnolia

Most malls in the Robinsons chain are already pet-friendly but Robinsons Magnolia stands out as one of the most popular due to its location. The mall allows large breeds 51 lbs and up, with them being given designated entrance and exit locations.

Robinsons Magnolia also offer certain guidelines for pets roaming within their premises, including:

  • Keeping your pet on a leash. You are not allowed to walk your pet inside the mall.
  • Your pet should have complete and updated vaccines
  • They are not allowed inside restaurants/dining establishments or the supermarket
  • Your pet might be required to leave if it shows disruptive behavior.

These guidelines are fairly basic and something every responsible pet owner should already practice. Note that there are also specific rules for other classes of pets you should inquire about when bringing into the mall.

Happy Pets Club

Robinsons also has a Happy Pets Club for owners and their furry pals. Members get to enjoy a variety of privileges such as free admission to events like pet blessings, pet buffets, and seminars. They can also get discounts and free items from the mall’s partner brands.

To be part of the club, you just fill up the provided application form and present it along with accumulated receipts totaling 3000 pesos. When you claim your official club ID, you will also receive a welcome gift containing various pet treats.

Pet-friendly mall no. 2: SM Mall of Asia

SM MOA stands out as having the most relaxed pet policies among the mall chain’s branches. The mall’s basic rule is that your pet should be wearing a diaper when in its premises. You can then put your little friend down and let them roam while on a leash.
