Get Dazzled With These Holiday Inspired Looks

It’s the most beautiful time of the year. As much as we want our homes to look pleasing by hanging colorful and sparkling ornaments, we also want to look our best on the 25th of December. Of course, Christmas is not an excuse to wear bold red lipstick, winged eyeliner, and on fleek brows. We can just doll ourselves up now and then. Do you know what I mean?

But something about this holiday calls us to be extra pretty and glamorous. It’s like Santa put a magic spell on our brushes and makeup palettes. We just feel the need to use them. And since holiday preparations can be exhausting, we don’t want to take a lot of your time staring at the mirror, asking yourself  “how will I do my face?”.

So, allow me to be your fairy godmother. I only want the best for my ladies this coming holiday. Therefore, in case you are still a little lost or undecided about your #Christmas2020look, let me share with you some of the best Christmas makeup looks you can try on. Shall we, gorgeous?

Christmas Makeup Look #1: Go Bold or Go Home Lips

Our goal is to be a tad extra. And if there is one thing that can make us achieve that vibe, it’s a bold colored lipstick. We are talking about fiery red, bright pink, and strong browns.

Forget about tints and nudes for a little while. Since we usually wear light-colored tones on our lips daily, you may want to spice up things up this holiday. What makes bold colored lipsticks a game changer is how it can complete your look in an instant.

If you are not the type to blend some shadows on your eyes, a red or bright pink lipstick can already do the trick. Moreover, a simple outfit can easily turn classy and elegant when partnered with the right lippie.

For that additional glam, you may want to add a gloss or glitter on top. Don’t forget to pout on your photos, ‘kay?

Christmas Makeup Look #2: Shining, Shimmering, Splendid Eyes

A dramatic smokey eyeshadow is a thing of the past. Well, just for this holiday. We want you to try something new yet simple this year. Instead of taking out your blacks, greens, and grays color, give me some blush, gold, and browns.

Not only will this look make your eyes brighter but it will also deliver that sophisticated and sultry vibes. Swipe some light brown shadow on your bottom-lid. Then, you can grab a rose gold color to blend on your crease. For a more depth illusion, use brown eyeliner to finish the look.

Some sisterly tip, tap your brush on some highlighter and place it on the corners of your eyes. Not only will it put more emphasis on your eye makeup but will give that extra “pop” that is just too pretty not to be noticed.

Christmas Makeup Look #3: Rainbows For The Eyes

Some people like to experiment with their Christmas makeup looks. The colors are just too pretty to only choose 2 or 3 to mix and match. So, to those who are free-spirited and can just slay wearing bright and random eye makeup, then this one is for you.

First things first. Apply a white-colored eye shadow as the base. The black canvas will serve as a steady foundation where other colors will be applied. Next, apply a yellow tone to the inner corner of the eye followed by the green one.

Then, swipe some blue and indigo eyeshadow on your outer lids. Create a deeper and dramatic look by adding a violet color to the outer corner of the eye. To finish things off, apply an orange and red shadow to the inner corners of your eye.

Make sure to BLEND everything well. You don’t want to end up with your eye makeup looking like an unmixed fruit salad. If you want to give it more emphasis, you can apply winged eyeliner and falsies.

Christmas Makeup Look #4: “No Makeup” Makeup Look

Behold the mother of all Christmas makeup looks. This one is the simplest but maybe the toughest to achieve. A “no makeup” makeup look is a term used to describe natural-looking skin with the slight use of foundation, blush, and highlights.

However, it does not sound that simple just because you are going to use a few items. To perfectly slay this look, the skin must be well-hydrated/moisturized and marks, pimples, or scars properly concealed.

The trick here is to use quality makeup products that set well into your skin. Since you will only need a few swipes of foundation, look for a brand that offers good pigment with a dewy finish. The glow of the dewy finish creates that illusion of the natural oils in our skin.

Next, make sure to apply a good amount of highlighter above your cheekbones, down the bridge of your nose, on the inner corners of your eyes, and above your cupid’s bow. Again, that shine and glitter will make the look more natural.

Using blush is optional. However, if you decide to give your cheeks some life, opt for a muted pink or orange instead of those with red tones. Another trick is to apply some blush on the upper part of your nose. This gives off that natural looking sunkissed look.

Whether you decide to go all out or chill for your Christmas makeup look 2020, always remember that you are beautiful. With or without makeup on, you can definitely slay this coming holiday.
